Welcome to the
Durand-Eastman Intermediate School website!

   I would like to take this opportunity to extend a welcome to all our new Durand-Eastman families.
   All students in third, fourth, and fifth grades will receive a school planner which includes a handbook of pertinent information for parents. I have also included in my "Principal's Letter" some specific information you might find helpful.
  Durand-Eastman students will start school at 8:45 am, and students will be dismissed at 3:15 pm.
   Buses will arrive between 8:30 - 8:40 am. Students will be met at the buses by staff daily and escorted to their lockers and classrooms. Homeroom classes will begin at 8:45 am. Students need to be at school no later than 8:45 am, or will be considered tardy. Students who choose can also receive breakfast daily after arrival. (Breakfast cost - $1.25 and Lunch cost - $1.85.)
   Students who arrive after 8:45 am, must be escorted by a parent/guardian to the main office to sign in. Parents/guardians must also report to the main office to pick up their student for an early release from school to sign them out. Parent identification will be required and we ask that you send a note to school in the morning with your child if they are to be dismissed early. Please call the attendance office at 339-1555 extension 5355 when you know your child will not be attending school. Please leave your full name, student's first and last name, teacher and the reason he/she will not be attending school.
